It plans to raise over 2 million chickens and produce 5,500 tonnes of poultry a year at the new unit, according to Ioan Popa, general manager and founder of Transavia.

With the new investment, part of a €15 million investment budget for this year, Transavia created 30 new jobs, increased the production capacity of its incubation station and its fodder factory in Sintimbru, as well as the slaughtering capacity in Oiejdea.

Transavia has 15 chicken breeding farms, two reproduction farms and two incubation stations, a fodder factory, two slaughter houses and a poultry processing factory, as well as two vegetable farms.
