Heating of hatching eggs before storage improves hatchability

How long can eggs be stored before hatching? This is a frequently asked question. The answer came from a series of trials conducted at the Research Institute for Animal Husbandry in Lelystad, the Netherlands. It shows that pre-storage incubation of hatching eggs is an effective way of reducing loss of hatchability in eggs stored for long periods.
