Vaccinating to protect poultry early post-hatch and during moult (2005 special)
The protective effects of vaccination immediately post-hatch, when the animals are highly susceptible due to immaturity of the immune system and the lack of a protective microflora, are thought to be limited. However new developments indicate that protective effects may be induced as a result of vaccination during these susceptible periods.
