The controversial one year old foie gras ban may be rescinded as 14 of Chicago’s City Council elder statesmen have signed up to repeal the ban.
Even the city’s mayor has criticized the ban at a recent conference honouring city chefs.
Last week, a US District judge dismissed a lawsuit by the Illinois Restaurant Association challenging the ban. Judge Blanche Manning ruled the city has a constitutional right to enact the ban.
