US website launched on trade agreements

13-09-2007 | | |

Several governmental agencies have launched a website providing the public with the latest information on American trade agreements.

The website, www.tradeagreements.gov, which forms part of a push to pass pending agreements now before Congress, is a joint effort among the Departments of Agriculture, Commerce, State, Treasury and the Office of the United States Trade Representative.
“The more Americans know about how existing free trade agreements have created economic opportunities and expanded consumer choices, the more they will support free trade agreements we have concluded with Peru, Colombia, Panama, and Korea, which are now pending before Congress,” said a US Trade Representative.
