James Young returns to Cobb as joint vp of operations

After five years leading Tyson Foods’ international operations, James Young has returned to Cobb-Vantress as vice president of operations for South America and the EMEA (Europe, Middle East and Africa) region.

As Cobb continues to expand worldwide, the new structure provides for two vice presidents of operations, with Stan Reid retaining responsibility for North America and Asia.

“I’m very confident that these adjustments to Cobb’s structure will greatly improve our focus across the business,” said Jerry Moye, president of Cobb. “This addition will provide a jumpstart to a great 2015 as we look towards celebrating100 years of Cobb in 2016.”

Young joined Tyson Foods in 1988 and initially managed live bird complexes and processing plants before becoming vice president of live production services in 1999. He served as both VP of the Deli group and later as VP of operations before joining Cobb in 2004 as director of world technical support, later being named vice president for Europe and South America. After six years, he returned to Tyson with the position of vice president – International with responsibilities in China, Mexico, Brazil and India.
