Jamesway becomes member of International Poultry Council

Canadian company Jamesway Incubator has become an associate member of the International Poultry Council.

Founded in 1890 as the James Manufacturing Company, the company marketed its first incubator in 1915, and in 1959 introduced the world’s first multi-stage incubation system. Company President Ian MacKinnon is Jamesway’s IPC representative.

“With the addition of Jamesway, the IPC now has a total of 38 associate members from around the globe,” said IPC President Jim Sumner. “We welcome this addition from Canada to our growing international base of associates.”

Poultry associations in 23 countries are also members of the IPC, which was formed in 2005. The IPC represents about 85% of the world’s poultry production and nearly 95% of global trade in poultry meat.
