A $275,000 check was recently presented by six poultry processors to the Oklahoma Scenic Rivers Commission (OSRC). These efforts were part of a $1.1 million donation pledged over four years.

Funds were requested from the OSRC from a variety of sources, including government agencies and companies, to preserve the Illinois River Watershed, where there are approximately 1,660 poultry houses.
The poultry processors include Cargill Turkey Production LLC, George’s Processing, Peterson Farms, Simmons Foods Inc., Tyson Foods Inc., and Willow Brook Foods Inc.
