Israeli ban on Turkey poultry imports lifted

10-05-2007 | |

State minister Kursad Tuzmen has announced that Israel has lifted the ban on imports of chicken from Turkey, which was imposed due to bird flu cases in 2006.

Tuzmen stated that the ban will continue on chicken products and poultry originating from south-eastern cities of Diyarbakir and Batman, however, firms that produce poultry and chicken meat in other cities will be able to export their products freely.
