Poultry litter power plant

A plant running on power from poultry litter will operational in the near future, with a capacity to generate 3.4 mW of electricity.

The power plant at Pochampally in Nalgonda District of Andhra Pradesh, India, will be set up at a cost of about Rs18 crore and will be commissioned on 28 August, 2007.
India’s Ministry of New and Renewable Energy has granted a capital subsidy of Rs2.31 crore for the project.
