Chicken spill blamed for road accidents

10-09-2007 | |

A truck recently spilled a smelly load of chicken renderings on a road in Winona, Minnesota. The incident is being accused as the reason behind at least five traffic accidents.

The mess of chicken renderings is said to have covered eight blocks. The slippery pavement caused at least four rear-end collisions between vehicles unable to stop at intersections. A moped also tipped over because of the road conditions.
No injuries were reported. However, police did try to locate the truck, which was believed to be hauling the load out of Arcadia, Wis., where a chicken processing plant is located.
