Lower inclusion rate for broiler probiotic

11-03-2008 | |

The EU has approved a lower inclusion rate for the probiotic Calsporin®.

The product was already registered for 100ppm and can now also be used at 50ppm. It has been shown that the lower inclusion rate provides the same effectively as the higher inclusion rate.
Calsporin® is a highly concentrated probiotic that contains viable spores of Bacillus subtilis C-3102 and produced by Orrfa. This probiotic is heat stable and approved for use in broiler chicken. Registration trials for other species are currently running.
Calsporin® is now available in EU, the USA, Brazil and many countries from Asia (including China, Thailand and Japan etc).
