US: Poultry Wastewater Operators Training Program

26-05-2008 | |

The U.S. Poultry & Egg Association will be sponsoring a Poultry Wastewater Operators Training Program that will take place from 9-10 July in Tucker, Ga, US.

This course will introduce students to the regulatory structure governing poultry plant effluents; provides a primer in math, chemistry, and microbiology; and covers the predominant equipment and systems used to properly treat poultry effluent prior to discharge. The course may be of particular interest to operators and supervisors involved in poultry wastewater treatment for four years or less.
The Poultry Wastewater Operators Training Program combines a comprehensive 200-page Operator’s Manual with 14 hours of classroom instruction and active student participation to teach students the fundamentals of poultry wastewater treatment.
