Broiler management for Ross in Iraqi

Poultry company Rasun Ltd, part of the Vano Group and based in Erbil, Iraq, and Aviagen recently joined together to host a seminar for Ross Iraqi customers.

The 2-day seminar took place in Antalya, Turkey, and was attended by 35 delegates, representing all parts of the Iraqi broiler industry and including dignitaries from the Ministry of Agriculture.

The Ross 308 was successfully introduced in Iraq in 2008 and with Ross broilers now on the ground, the timing was ideal to provide customers with essential advice on all aspects of broiler management, including nutrition, ventilation and vaccination, says the company. The entire event was dedicated to providing attendees with best practice to maximise broiler performance under Iraqi environmental conditions.

Dr Salah Bakir, Chairman and CEO of Vano: “The Ross 308 is proving to be extremely popular in Iraq and with the quality of technical advice and support on offer from Rasun and the Ross team; product performance will continue to improve.  This seminar complemented the breeder seminar we held last year and is another demonstration of our close partnership.”
