Ross Middle East and Africa Association celebrates 10 years in business

The Ross Middle East and Africa Association (RMEAA) is celebrating its 10 year anniversary. To mark the occasion, all of the association’s distributors were taken to the spiritual home of the Ross brand; Edinburgh, Scotland for a weekend of discussions, presentations and social activities.

RMEAA is a group of 10 Ross distributors from across the Turkey, Middle East and Africa region. The last 10 years have seen an unprecedented growth in the poultry industry, with distributors in Iraq, Zambia, and South Africa all joining the original members from Turkey, Iran, Syria, Egypt and Saudi Arabia in recent years.

The event, which took place between the 23rd and the 26th October, was partially a celebration of the last decade but also supported the association’s aim to provide a forum where members can exchange ideas about best practice and news from the region as well as plan for the future of the industry.

To enable successful growth all the Ross distributors have invested heavily in their infrastructure, with biosecurity and staff training being high priorities. Stock from the region is now in line with the stringent global standards and the distribution companies are able to compete at a worldwide level.
