Novus celebrates Earth Day
Focusing on the community, environment and links to the next generation, Novus celebrated the 40th anniversary of Earth Day by planting a Swamp White Oak tree at the global headquarters in St. Charles, Missouri, USA.
From the initiatives of a few in the US on April 22, 1970, Earth Day has grown to be celebrated in 175 countries. Over the years, science-based innovation has contributed to reduction in some pressures on natural resources. However, more needs to be done, says Novus International.
Novus International, involved in animal health and nutrition, says it continues to research ways to intensify the sustainability of agriculture. The 295 person team at Novus global headquarters is one-third of the Novus family in the 50 country network, positioned to support agriculture in its role as natural resource stewards.
“The agriculture industry plays a unique role in the global effort to protect and preserve the environment,” said Dr. Joyce Cacho, Chief Sustainability Officer, Novus International. “Novus customers and farmers, around the world have adopted new practices and technologies that are environmentally-friendly and improve the performance of their livestock operations.”
