IPE to kick off in Atlanta

The International Poultry Expo (IPE) in Atlanta, USA, is ready to open its doors. Exhibitors and vistors from all over the world will meet in the Georgia World Congress Center. Last preparations are currently being made.

Like in previous years, the Scientific Forum took place prior to the show again. Researchers, mainly coming from the USA, presented their papers on a wide range of topics. In previous years, these presentations used to be truly scientific, but at this years edition quite a number of topics were much focused on practical poultry production. Presentations included a new flooring concept for broilers without the use of llitter, improving breeder performance and hatchability and the use of low energy LED lighting systems in poultry houses.

Today IPE will open its doors, allowing the global poultry industry to meet. According to the show organisers, just over 900 exhibitors will be on display at this years edition, which is around 60 more than last year. Most likely this will be thanks to the Showco group, which is participating. Showco is a group of companies that exhibits only at those shows that they have agreed upon together. This years IPE is among those shows.

Based on pre registrations, IPE organisers expect 20,000 visitors to come to Atlanta. The show runs from Wednesday to Friday. Exhibit hours are from 10:00 to 17:00 hr on Wednesday and Thursday and from 09:00 to 13:00 hr on Friday.
