Neal Walsh, corporate purchasing director at Butterball, has been elected to serve as the membership and sponsorship committee chairperson on the North Carolina Poultry Federation (NCPF) 2011-2012 Board.

“It is an honor for Butterball representatives to join such a highly regarded organization and serve alongside some of the most influential individuals in the state’s poultry industry,” said Rod Brenneman, president and chief executive officer of Butterball. “We look forward to supporting Neal and our other corporate team members as they serve as ambassadors for our company and our industry in their efforts to strengthen the growing business community.”

Throughout the next year Walsh will act as a spokesperson for the NCPF, help recruit new members as well as help to develop positive sponsorships throughout the poultry industry. The position was previously held by Jerry Johnson, director of purchasing at Butterball, who announced his retirement at the annual banquet. Johnson has been an active member of the poultry industry since 1969.

Butterball, LLC representatives, David Anderson, vice president of live operations, and Alice Johnson, vice president of food safety, government regulations and public affairs have also been elected to serve on the 2011-2012 NCPF Board.
