EuroTier week ends – attracted 38,000 foreign visitors

EuroTier has seen a steep rise in international visitors – a 50% increase in comparison to 2010. About 38,000 visitors came from abroad.

Dr Reinhard Grandke, CEO for the German Agricultural Society (DLG) proudly said that the foreign visitors came from over 100 countries.

In 2010, 24,000 international visitors came to the four-day show in Hanover, Germany.

In total, a record number of about 160,000 visitors came to the show which is closing today. The number of German visitors remained similar to number at the 2010 edition.

Exhibitor numbers amounted to 2,445 from 51 countries – a record.

Grandke said that a pleasant buzz could also be noted on the Monday prior to EuroTier with many pre-show events organised.

He added that the abundance in job opportunities in agriculture was noteworthy and saw this as a positive sign.
