New chick counter from Pas Reform
SmartCount is a new chick counter introduced by Pas Reform, which makes use of vision technology.
It is a complex pairing of digital imaging and more-defined algorithms, to count and analyse groups of day old chicks. The system has a capacity of 60,000 chicks per hour whereby chicks are transferred at a stress free slow speed. It has an accuracy of two chicks per thousand.
Unlike conventional chick counters this counter has a vision assisted dosing curtain of metal pins to select and distribute the day old chicks gently and precisely into the chick box at the end of the conveyor.
The counter also includes an uninterupted automatic spray vaccinator.
