Practical applications and knowledge on Future Farming in crops and livestock will be on focus at the Global Forum for Innovations in Agriculture (GFIA), held from 9-10 May 2017 at the Jaarbeurs Expo Centre in Utrecht, The Netherlands.

The GFIA is held in cooperation with Proagrica, a global division of Reed Business Information (RBI), specialising in the agriculture industry and publisher of Poultry World (and its sister publications Pig Progress, Dairy Global and All About Feed), and Farmers Weekly.

Proagrica will have its Future Farming Proagrica Theatre, held over 2 days, at the exhibition ground. At this theatre, new ideas, future farming insights are shared in the fields of dairy, pig and poultry farming, horticulture and arable farming, each having three focus topics. The editors of Proagrica brands will moderate the sessions.

For poultry, exciting sessions will take place on:

  • Future Farming – next level feeding and nutrition
  • Future Farming – animal management
  • Future Farming – big data in the poultry house

Companies can be part of this exciting and innovative theatre! Do you want to share your knowledge and practical insights in a 20 minute practical talk and share this directly with the farmers and international experts in the audience? GFIA: at the centre of the dialogue on how to feed the world

When GFIA was launched in Abu Dhabi in 2014, it was born out of the passion of 40 influential organisations including the Food and Agriculture Organisation of the UN, Bill & Melinda Gates Foundation, and the World Bank, that wanted a platform to start a globally significant dialogue on how we can feed nine billion people.

The exhibition attracts over 7,500 agtech experts and farmers, 250+ exhibitors showcasing their innovative products, all aimed to improve the food production process. The Future Farming Theatre will be organised at the exhibition during the 2 days (9 and 10 May). Entrance is free of charge for the exhibition.
