Eurodon s expansion results in turkey market growth

Eurodon, one of Russia’s largest producers and processors of turkey meat, produced 39,600 tonnes of turkey meat in live weight last year, a 16% increase on the previous year.

“The growth of production level has been achieved following the construction of ten new houses, expanding the area of packaging in the meat processing plant, and the installation of new industrial equipment,” said CEO of Eurodon, Vadim Vaneev. He also added that before the modernisation, the design capacity of all production enterprises of the company amounted to 30,200 tonnes of meat, while after the upgrade it reached 35,000 tonnes.

The company also has further expansion plans for the coming years. Currently Eurodon is preparing a project including construction of a turkey complex with the capacity of 60,000 tonnes of meat per year and the possibility of increasing this figure. Russian “VEB” bank has already allocated a loan of RUB 18 bln (US$ 600 mln) for the construction.

In addition, the company is preparing to commission a new Peking duck breeding and meat production complex in Miller area of the Rostov region. The annual capacity of the farm will amount to 20,000 tonnes of duck meat.
