Southern African poultry industry gets new breed

07-09-2006 | | |

In a demonstration of confidence in the potential of the poultry industry in the Southern Africa region, a breeding company has announced its intention to supply stock to South Africa, Lesotho, Swaziland and Namibia.

Hubbard has signed an agreement with Genetex Poultry Breeders for the distribution of Hubbard Flex PS in these areas. The first Hubbard Flex GP arrived in South Africa at the end of July 2006.

Hubbard is reputedly already the preferred breed in Northern Africa, and a Genetex representative says that the Hubbard breed provides an excellent alternative for the poultry industry in Southern Africa.
