The 2007 International Poultry Expo brought together nearly 20,000 attendees from 48 states, the District of Columbia, Puerto Rico, and 90 countries.

Co-located with the International Feed Expo for the first time, the IPE is the world’s largest trade show for the poultry and egg industry. This year’s attendance was the largest in five years.
There were 15,668 domestic attendees and 3,977 international guests. Don Dalton, president of the US Poultry & Egg Association, the event sponsor said that, “Feedback from our attendees and exhibitors has been excellent. The International Poultry Expo was part of the US Department of Commerce’s International Buyer Program. Through that program we were able to work with US embassies and consulates around the world to recruit international buyer delegations. Egypt, the Dominican Republic, and Venezuela were some of the countries that brought sizable delegations to the show and conducted several significant business transactions with our exhibitors.”
In descending order, the largest international groups came from Canada, Mexico, Venezuela, Colombia, and Brazil. The countries represented this year that were not present at the previous show were Algeria, Bangladesh, Curacao, Cyprus, Ethiopia, Hong Kong, Lithuania, Taiwan, Uzbekistan, and Vietnam. Canada, Mexico, and Venezuela each registered more than 100 delegates than they did in 2006.
The 2008 International Poultry Expo and International Feed Expo is scheduled 23-25 January, at the Georgia World Congress Center in Atlanta, GA (US) Pre-registration will open July 1.
