Hatchery recommissioned in India

As part of the Jammu and Kashmir government’s effort to revive sick units, a poultry hatchery has been recommissioned at Mattan in Anantnag district, India.

The refurbished hatchery has a capacity of hatching 12,000 chickens, and is envisages catering to farmers’ demand for low-input technology birds for backyard rearing in Anantnag, Kulgam, Pulwama and Shopian districts, Director (Animal Husbandry Department) A A Baba said after recommissioning the hatchery.
