Elimination of egg-borne Salmonella remains elusive (2005 special)

While there continues to be progress made in eliminating the number of egg-borne Salmonella infections in US and UK consumers, this bacteria demands strict attention to bio security measures. Action plans, codes of practice and vaccination have reassured consumers, who are not willing to pay a premium for eggs guaranteed to be Salmonella free.
