Dutch egg producers adapt to changing markets

The Dutch layer market remains strong with an estimated 28 million hens producing some nine billion eggs a year. In line with other countries worldwide, Dutch producers must adapt to changes in market demands, consumer trends, pressure from major supermarkets and likely new guidelines.
