IPC to hold fall meeting in Africa
Poultry organization representatives from around the world will gather in October when the International Poultry Council (IPC) holds its fall conference in Zambia, marking the first-ever IPC meeting in Africa.
The meeting is scheduled for October 16-20 at the Royal Livingstone hotel in Livingstone, Zambia. The Southern African Poultry Association (SAPA) will be the host organization for the meeting.
“Our conference programme is expected to have a number of interesting speakers to talk on the potential that Africa has for poultry producers and exporters in the coming decades,” said SAPA CEO Kevin Lovell. “By the end of this century there will be over 3.6 billion people in Africa, all wanting to eat our wonderful products.”
Members of the respective IPC member countries will also give status updates of the poultry industries in their home countries. More than 20 countries are represented in the IPC’s membership. Online registration for the meeting will be possible via the websites of IPC
