Egg production up by 0.4% in Turkey

Turkey’s egg production has increased to 1.2 billion in June, up by 0.4% from the previous month, and representing an increase of 17.3% from the same period last year, reports Turkstat, the Turkish Statistics Institute.

Slaughtered chicken in June numbered 94 million units, representing a decrease of 2.4% from the previous month, but an increase of 7.7% from the same period last year.

Chicken production declined by 2.7% to 157,406 tonnes for the same period, but also representing an increase of 8.5% from the same month last year.
