Cobb has become ‘the breed of choice’ in Russia even though it has been present in the market for less than ten years, Patrick van Trijp, account manager for Russia and the CIS countries, told the annual Cobb technical symposium in Prague, Czech Republic.

Members of the Cobb Germany technical and sales team, who cover more than 20 countries in central and eastern Europe, attended the symposium hosted by Cobb technical experts from Europe and North America.

“Our team are very positive about the future particularly after reviewing the excellent production results from both breeders and broilers in Europe and further afield,” stated James Truscott, director of Cobb Germany.  “Exchanging ideas and information with our colleagues from Cobb Europe confirms that customers are more and more making the Cobb500 their breed of choice,”

Dr Mitch Abrahamsen, Cobb vice president of research and development, gave an overview of the company’s major investment both globally and regionally in Europe. He spoke about the exciting product developments in the pipeline and the genetic selection techniques that, he said, would maintain the Cobb500 position as the chicken of choice globally.

Dr László Kőrösi, Cobb Germany sales and technical representative for the Hungarian market, received a special award of thanks and acknowledgement for his nine years’ service for Cobb.
