The course will cover all aspects of modern poultry production
including breeding, nutrition, health, welfare as well as poultry
products for human consumption. The course is based on lectures
by recognised researchers. Through excursions and practicals, the
students will get the opportunity to obtain hands-on experience in
hatching, the formulation of poultry feed, the assessment of
nutrient digestibility, bird health and welfare as well as meat and
egg quality.

Target group:
The course is relevant for all students working in the field of
poultry science and will provide an understanding of poultry
production in a broad context from farm to fork.
