Childers becomes president of Poultry Federation
Marvin Childers, Arkansas state
representative, has been elected president of the Poultry Federation, a
three-state trade organisation representing the poultry and egg industries in
Arkansas, Missouri and Oklahoma.
"We are pleased that Marvin will
be serving as president and chief lobbyist for the poultry industry," said Ken
Primm of OK Farms, chairman of the federation board. "We are confident that his
agricultural background and his legal and legislative experience will continue
to move us forward in promoting our industry in Arkansas, as well as Missouri
and Oklahoma."
Marvin Childers succeeds Morril Harriman: "I know personally that Morril was dedicated
to this industry and his shoes will be hard to fill…I am excited and honoured to
be chosen as Morril's replacement. I appreciate the confidence that the board
has placed in me and I look forward to working with the federation staff in
promoting the poultry industry. I realise I have a lot to learn and I look
forward to this new opportunity."
