German poultry feed dearest ever

To purchase the feed for their birds, German poultry farmers have to pay a lot. Mid September broiler feed was 33% more expensive than last year.

For turkey feed prices in the poultry dense area of Weser-Ems have gone up 48% compared to September 2006.
Price increases for raw materials have gone up even more: 44% protein soy cake at the Hamburg exchange was €29.95 per 100 kg mid September, 50% higher than in mid September last year.
Prices of corn increased on average by 62% to €23.90/100 kg and feed wheat by €24.30/100 kg was twice as expensive as last year.
