A 26-year-old Vietnamese woman from Mekong Delta province of Soc Trang has died of bird flu.

The woman was admitted to hospital on 16 March to treat symptoms of coughing, difficulty in breathing, and pneumonia, said Nguyen Minh Tung, head of the hospital's preventive health centre.
