Alltech is a first time sponsor of the 17th Congress of the World Veterinary Poultry Association being held in Cancun, Mexico from August 14-18. Along with the sponsorship, Alltech will be providing information about their programme solutions in two booths and interacting with attendees through a special lecture session.

Alltech invites poultry professionals to attend the lecture “Facing the Challenge: Optimising Intestinal Health and Immunity” by Dr. Tim Cummings, clinical poultry professor at the College of Veterinary Medicine, Mississippi State University, USA, on Sunday August 14. Cummings will address strategies for managing and maintaining intestinal health, one of the most significant challenges for global poultry production during periods of high input costs and absolutely critical to optimal bird health and performance.

For more than 30 years, Alltech has been an active member of the global poultry industry with its market-focussed approach, called Alltech Poultry Advantage.

The Alltech Poultry Advantage places high value on quality, efficiency, genetic potential, traceability, food safety, and the environment. Alltech’s founder and president, Dr. Pearse Lyons, said, “The poultry industry is incredibly unique, producing diverse and accessible food options for consumers around the world. Veterinarians play an important part in this process. Alltech is committed to supporting poultry companies, veterinarians and communities in their effort to raise high quality birds and nutrition-packed products. By creating the Alltech Poultry Advantage and by sponsoring the Congress of the World Veterinary Poultry Association, we hope to maintain these positive relationships and production trends.”
