People: New Executive Director appointed for WSA

Jolanda Junge has joined WSA ( We Support Agriculture) as Executive Director, further strengthening the association.

“We’re very excited to have Jolanda working on behalf of Nebraska’s livestock and animal agriculture organisations in Nebraska,” said Doug Temme, WSA’s Board President. “She will be an effective voice for agriculture as she continues to build our organisation and educate Nebraskans on the vital economic role animal agriculture has in Nebraska.”

Junge has extensive experience in organisation management and in developing and building organizations. Building WSA’s membership and bringing in new groups of Nebraskans to support WSA’s goals will be one of her primary focuses. “

We Support Agriculture is a joint effort of Nebraska’s Cattlemen, State Dairy Association, Farm Bureau Federation, Pork Producers, and Poultry Industry. WSA’s mission is to build a broad coalition, through communication, education, and advocacy to protect Nebraska’s agricultural foundation, thousands of jobs, and consumer food choices.

Farmers and ranchers are continually improving how they grow and raise our food. Consumers are asking reasonable questions that must be addressed. Junge will be instrumental in helping Nebraskans understand approved ag practices and the misconceptions created by extremist animal rights groups.
