10th edition of Poultry World 2017 is now online
In the last issue of Poultry World for this year our editor delves into the finesses of sustainability. This edition contains several other in-depth articles devoted to poultry.
Sustainability is a broad concept, including things like environmental impact, but also fair trade and animal welfare. The latter generally gets all the attention, forgetting efficiency at the other side of the spectrum.

Furthermore Poultry World features a farm report at the broiler farm of the Van den Hurk family. They were awarded the 2016 Cobb champion award for outstanding broiler performance.

Also we have a look at the possibilities to feed animals with protein from the seas. What are the opportunities for ingredients like blue mussels, starfish and seaweed? Jan V. Nørgaard, associate professor, Aarhus University, Denmark gives an overview.
