Ukraine secures right to export poultry to EU

Poultry producers in Ukraine, including MHP and Agromars have finally secured the right to export their products to the European Union, the Ministry of Agrarian Policy and Food announced in a statement.

In particular, the right to export products to the European Union has been granted to MHP poultry farm (producer of chilled and frozen chicken), Sniatynska poultry farm (goose meat, foie gras), the Lehko meat processing plant (finished meat products), as well as to the Agromars company.

“In December last year, it was decided to include Ukraine in the list of countries eligible to export poultry products to the European Union. Since then, inspections have continued at the enterprises that wanted to export their products to the European market. Production had to meet all the requirements of the European Union’s legislation,” said Minister of Agrarian Policy and Food Mykola Prysiazhniuk.

The right to export products to the European Union came into effect at the end of July.
