From 19-21 June, the 7th International Symposium on Turkey Diseases will take place in Berlin, Germany.

The following s a breakdown of topics and presentation that will take place at the event:
Thursday 19 June
• Investigations in Morphological Ocular reference parameters in turkey using digital scanning Opthalmoscopy and Ultrasonography
• Comparative anatomical investigations of a modern heavy- and a wild-type turkey line. using computed tomography
• A comparative study on the liver and pancreas of a modern heavy- and a wild-type turkey line
• A comparative study of intestine of a modern heavy- and a wild-type turkey line
• Alteration of some haemostatic parameters of turkey toms supplemented with multi-enzyme feed additive
• Effects of environmental enrichment on the behaviour of growing turkeys
• Overview about currently ongoing viral diseases of turkeys
• Investigation on Turkey Rhinotracheitis in commercial turkeys in Egypt
• Evaluation of turkey Rhinotracheitis in commercial turkeys and use of TRT vaccine in turkeys in Iran
• Disease associated with 7 week old isolation of an avian metapneumovirus  vaccine derived virus.
• Possible field avian metapneumovirus evolution avoiding vaccine induced immunity
• Construction of a green fluorescent protein (GFP) avian metapneumovirus (AMPV) recombinant lacking the small hydrophobic (SH) protein gene shows that giant syncytial formations are not a result of the reduction in genome size
• Gene exchange and deletions in AMPV shows the importance of F, G and SH proteins in inducing immunity
• Avian Metapneumovirus support experimental Riemerella anatipestifer infection in turkeys
