Muller boss appointed 2 Sisters CEO

Former Muller chief executive Ronald Kers will replace Ranjit Singh as chief executive at 2 Sisters Food Group.

Mr Kers has spent the past 2 years leading Muller’s £6bn global business, and prior to that had a spell as Muller UK’s CEO. He has more than 20 years’ experience at FMCG (fast moving consumer goods) businesses.

He stepped down from his role at Muller in last May.

Earlier this year Mr Singh announced he would step down from his hands-on role at 2 Sisters after more than 25 years leading the company. He is now president of Boparan Holdings, 2 Sisters’ parent company.

Mr Singh: focus on strengthening financial position

Mr Singh said his focus would move to a “broader leadership role” that would involve strengthening the firm’s financial position, while Mr Kers would focus “our core strengths and getting back to what we do best – delivering great value, great quality food for our customers”.

Mr Kers: greater transparency

“We have already started with our commitments to greater transparency, a stronger colleague voice, and simplifying a complex organisation. But there is so much more to do and Ronald can take the business performance to the next level.”

Ronald Kers: writing the next chapter

Ronald Kers said: “2 Sisters is an incredible company and I am pleased to take over from Ranjit and write the next chapter of its success story, one which is often overlooked.

“Ranjit and his team have built some strong foundations here and all colleagues should never forget how we help feed consumers in several countries every day with quality, affordable food. That is something to be extremely proud of.

“We are already the largest food business in the UK but what I would like to do now is, with the help of all colleagues, customers and other stakeholders, transform the business from good to great to being the best everywhere we operate.”
