On 27 May 2009, Baader Group’s 100% takeover of the Linco Group was successfully completed. The Baader Group acquired the controlling majority of Linco in 2007, and completed its takeover with this move.

Baader Group states that it has become the world’s third biggest provider of poultry processing systems.

Petra Baader, CEO of Baader Group: “The complete takeover of the company is an important step with regard to a long-lasting stabilisation of our competitiveness. Baader and Linco complement one another perfectly with regard to the global market presence, process technology, R&D competence and customer service. These synergy effects will be used to elevate process innovations and customer service to a new level in the international poultry industry.”

Linco CEO, Ralph Anderson Miller: “Especially our customer will profit from the alliance. Baader and Linco have a combined total of 155 years of competence in the food industry. With the common sales and service network with 70 locations worldwide, the Baader Group will be presented close to the customers in all important markets.”

With regard to technological developments Baader says that it will pursue 2 goals within the coming years: “We are on the best way to realise an unprecedented yield in the field of the fully automatic poultry processing,” says the Technical MD of Linco, Dr Peter From. “At the same time we will increase our product range for the Asian market, where the food processing is still mainly done by hand. With our semi-automatic processing lines we will offer optimal solutions for our customers with the slogan: quality in all phases.”
