AgroKush, the largest poultry production company in Kyrgyzstan, has selected single-stage integrated hatchery systems from Royal Pas Reform for its new broiler hatchery in the Issyk Kul region. The new facility includes a hatchery and poultry houses, together with a new feed plant, and a slaughterhouse with a capacity of 3,000 poultry per hour. Initial meat production capacity will be 8,500 tonnes of live weight per year, rising to 20,000 tonnes per year when the second phase is implemented.
After 4 years of marketing its first robot, Tibot technologies, the Rennes-based agritech start-up, presents T-Moov which circulated in the building 24/7 to stimulate the birds’ natural activity. It helps relieve the farmer of this repetitive task, while reducing stress among the birds and improving their health, says the company. T-Moov starts with 2 buttons and does not require any technical installation, and yet it adapts to the farm, whether the birds are turkeys, breeding hens or layers.
Danisco Animal Nutrition has received authorisation from the European Commission to expand the use of Enviva Pro, a multi-strain probiotic, to the European turkey production market. Europe is one of the largest turkeys producing markets in the world, second only to the US, with Germany, France, Poland, Italy and Spain making up 90% of the region’s overall output. First launched in the US in 2008, the probiotic, which blends 3 Bacillus probiotic strains, is currently used in over 50 countries.
The NutriOpt On-site Adviser has received the Innovative Agricultural Product 2021 award in the category Feed and Feed Additives in Poland. The award is an initiative of ‘Farmer’, an agricultural platform in Poland. Marcin Galiński, MD at Trouw Nutrition Poland, received the award. The NutriOpt On-site Adviser is a combination of a handheld NIR scanner, mobile application and connection to NutriOpt’s nutritional database. Samples of feed ingredients can be measured on the spot and the insights help farmers optimise their ration.

Danish producer of farm minerals, Nutrimin, was officially acquired and became a part of Nutreco’s animal nutrition division, Trouw Nutrition, on 1 December 2021. This acquisition will the company further access to Danish and Danish-owned farms in Eastern Europe and Russia.
AB Agri has partnered with GMP+ International to launch a new online training academy for feed chain professionals to improve safety in the global feed industry. The new platform offers feed safety management training courses to companies, teams, individuals, registered trainers and consultants. The online GMP+ Academy platform will include modules, webinars, e-learning materials, videos, events, databases and fact sheets.
In a recent study, researchers fed juvenile striped catfish a diet supplemented with heat-killed Lactobacillus plantarum, strain L-137, the active ingredient in Feed LP20. The heat-killing process utilizes the strain’s characteristics, hardens bacillary cell walls and fixes their genetic material. Marketing of Feed LP20 has recently began in the EU as a complementary feed for poultry, swine, and salmonid.

CP Foods also guarantees that they will get a fair price for their crops, depending on the quality of the produce.
International bakery chain, Le Pain Quotidien, has committed to become 100% cage-free by 2025. This means that all of Le Pain Quotidien’s stores, in such diverse locations as Hong Kong, Brazil, Germany, Turkey, the UAE and the US, will use only cage-free eggs by that date.
