Hendrix and Grelier investigate joining forces

Hendrix Genetics and Financière Grelier Holding have agreed an exclusivity period in which they will investigate the possibility to join forces in poultry breeding and distribution.

If this investigation will lead to an agreement and after consultation of the representative bodies of the employees and subject to various necessary consents, it is expected that this will be realised in the middle of 2011.

Grelier was founded in 1955 by the late Joseph Grelier. Its activities include breeding, multiplication and hatchery activities in the turkey, chicken and guinea-fowl breeding industry, with production activities in France, Poland and Hungary, and sales activities in more than 38 countries.

Hendrix Genetics, headquartered in Boxmeer, the Netherlands, is a leading multispecies breeding company, with 4 divisions: layer breeding (Institut de Sélection Animale-ISA), pig breeding (Hypor), turkey breeding (Hybrid) and poultry distribution (SFPA, Intergra, Joice and Hill).
