02-09-2008 | |

As of 2009, the Korea Food and Drug Administration will ban the use of 7 types of antibiotics in feed for livestock.

The 7 antibiotics include penicillin, tetracycline and colistine sulfate.
The administration said continued antibiotic usage in livestock feed will raise the animals’ tolerance and have an adverse effect on public health.
