Poultry plant to provide 400 jobs to Noxubee

Koch Food Inc. says it will open a new poultry products facility in Noxubee County that will bring 400 new jobs to the area.

Brian Wilson, the county’s interim economic and community development director, says the plant in Brooksville, which is “the largest economic development project in our history”, will have an annual payroll of $10.5 million.
Koch Foods, based in Chicago, provides chicken breasts to restaurants and includes hatcheries, processing facilities and distribution centres throughout the Southeast and Midwest.
Koch reports a $1.5 billion in annual revenue and about 8,000 employees.
