Vietnam: Meat inspectors to attend FSIS seminars

Vietnamese meat inspectors will be attending 2-week long seminars hed by the US Food Safety and Inpsection Service (FSIS) in the coming month in Hanoi and in HCM City.

Michael Riedel, Agricultural Attache at the American consulate in HCM City, has stated that there are plans for Vietnamese food safety officials to go to the US to take part in the FSIS’ training in HACCP (Hazard Analysis and Critical Control Points) implementation.

According to the report, the US Department of Agriculture (USDA), under which the FSIS operates, is collaborating with the Department of Animal Health in HCM City to have these seminars take place.
