Grimaud Freres Selection signs agreement with Pepes Ducks

The French duck genetic selection and breeding company Grimaud Freres Selection, has reached an exclusive agreement to supply Pepes Ducks with the Grimaud STAR duck breed in the Australian market for 10 years.

The agreement follows the successful placement of the Grand Parent STAR 53 duck at Pepes Ducks’ operations at Windsor in Sydney’s north-west in 2010.

The 10-year agreement reflects the strong ties between Grimaud Freres Selection and Pepes Ducks that began in 2003, reflecting the commitment of both companies to the better development of local duck meat production and consumption in Australia.

For Grimaud Freres Selection, the agreement is aimed at developing a sustainable relationship with a long-term client in the Oceania region.

For Pepes Ducks, this agreement allows it to plan long term to ensure its duck meat is of the highest quality, helping underpin its commercial advantage in the Australian market. It also provides security regarding the quality of their duck meat products, as well as helping optimise production costs because of the economic advantages presented by the STAR duck breed.
