Tyson Foods named ‘Processor of the Year’

Tyson Foods, Inc. was recently named “Processor of the Year” by National Provisioner magazine from the USA.

National Provisioner’s editor-in-chief, Andy Hanacek, noted the company’s continued efforts to reduce costs while focusing on customer service as reasons for the “Processor of the Year” honor.

Hanacek met with Tyson’s senior executives, including President and CEO, Donnie Smith. “The key to any successful business is focusing on adding value to your customer — that’s our No. 1 goal as we come to work every day,” Smith is quoted in the story. “We’re going to take care of our people, our people will take care of our customers and that will take care of our shareholders. That’s the simple underlying principle.”
