Alltech’s mycotoxin management testing program expands offering

Alltech has announced the expansion of its mycotoxin testing program Alltech Rapiread, which now includes a new collaboration with Waters | Vicam and the connection to its analytical tool, Vertu Touch. Offering touch-screen operation, the Vertu Touch lateral flow strip test reader works with Vicam’s Vertu strip tests to deliver full-range quantitative results for up to 6 major mycotoxins.

IFF launches Enviva Duo to boost poultry performance

Danisco Animal Nutrition & Health, IFF, has launched Enviva Duo, a direct-fed microbial solution for poultry production. This blend of 2 non-spore forming bacterial strains is designed to support the growth of beneficial gut bacteria and encourage a favorable nutribiotic state. Its stable formulation disperses evenly in water distribution systems, preventing sedimentation or build-up. The product is now available in the US, India and Pakistan. Pending regulatory approvals, there are plans to expand to other countries. 

16th edition of Poultry India Expo 2024 concludes

The 16th edition of Poultry India Expo 2024 concluded on 29 November 2024 at the Hitex Exhibition Complex in Hyderabad. Held over 3 days, the event drew over 40,000 attendees, including poultry farmers, industry professionals, and policymakers from across the globe. The expo featured over 400 exhibitors from more than 15 countries, showcasing the latest innovations in poultry science, advanced equipment, animal health, and sustainable management practices. The expo was preceded by the Knowledge Day technical seminar on 26 November, which attracted over 1,500 delegates from more than 15 countries, focusing on the theme ‘Shaping the Future of the Indian Poultry Sector’. The 2025 edition will take place from 26-28 November.

Layn Natural Ingredients presents new poultry feed additive

Layn Natural Ingredients has launched feed additives for poultry that leverages the advantages of water delivery for polyphenols, which means farm managers gain control over their use, allowing precise adjustments to type, dosage, and treatment duration to address specific animal needs. The company’s solutions for poultry production include applications for heat stress reduction, mycotoxin toxicity mitigation, and egg quality improvement.

Axitan and Qualitech partner

Biotech company Axitan Limited has partnered with QualiTech for the development and distribution of certain novel endolysin products. QualiTech will be the exclusive distributor for Axitan’s FORC3 product for the swine, ruminant and all poultry markets in North America, except broilers. Axitan will continue to be the exclusive distributor for broilers. FORC3 is a solution that targets Clostridium perfringens, the causative agent of necrotic enteritis in poultry.

Utrix and DMA Group join forces to enter Iraqi market

Utrix has announced that its portfolio of solutions designed to enhance animal performance and well-being is now available to feed mills and livestock producers in Iraq through distribution by DMA Group. Michel Daher, business support director for Utrix: “We are confident that the presence and market expertise of DMA Group will help grow our foothold in the Iraqi market, which stands among the top 3 in the MEA region for poultry feed.” 

Novus shared findings on US soybean meal quality

Frances Yan, senior manager of global poultry research at Novus International, shared an analysis of soybean meal quality in the US (‘Evaluation of trypsin inhibitor activity in 2021-2024 US soybean meal’) and research on copper sources in broilers during the International Poultry Scientific Forum held in conjunction with the International Production and Processing Expo, which took place from 27-28 January at the Georgia World Congress Center in Atlanta.

Baader at VIV Asia 2025: Intelligent poultry processing to protect and add value

Under the motto ‘Value every gramme’, Baader will showcase its latest solutions at VIV Asia 2025, which will take place from 12-14 March 2025 in Bangkok. The company says it will emphasise the protection and maximisation of meat value throughout the processing cycle. Advanced software tools that assist processors in planning production for each bird and ensuring every gramme of meat is safeguarded and efficiently harvested will also be a focus. The future of poultry processing lies in intelligent tools integrated into equipment and performance monitoring systems, says the company, which will have various equipment feautured at the show.

Animine and Feedworks USA partner to expand the precision minerals business

Animine, an independent supplier of precision minerals, has announced its collaboration with Feedworks USA in the US market. Established in 2005, Feedworks USA distributes specialty feed ingredients designed to enhance the health and performance of both monogastric and ruminant animals. Animine’s portfolio consists of products tailored to improve the health and nutrition of pigs, poultry and dairy cows.

Natac certifies the omega-3 plant in As Somozas with the GMP+ and Halal seals

Grupo Natac, a biotechnology company specialised in botanical extracts and omega-3 oils, has obtained the first 2 certifications for its omega-3 factory, which was launched in mid-September in As Somozas, Coruña, Spain. The company has achieved the GMP+ and Halal seals.
