) Although no illnesses have been reported, Kraft Foods
has increased its initial recall of 23,881 kg of chicken breast strips to
1.27 million kg. The initial recall occurred in February after listeria
bacteria was found in one package. Kraft expanded the recall to all its
products made at the same plant. It did more tests and found more listeria, says
Kraft's Elisabeth Wenner.
The recall now covers Oscar Mayer/Louis Rich Chicken Breast Strips and Cuts
in 6-ounce and 12-ounce packages with a "use by" date of 28 May 2007, or
earlier. The packaging bears the number "P-19676" inside the Department of
mark of inspection.

outbreak has prompted an urgent recall of eggs from Game Farm Enterprises
Queensland company. Queensland Health
negotiated the voluntary recall with the
Mount Cotton company after cracked and dirty eggs were supplied to small retail
outlets and fruit and vegetable shops around Queensland.
According to Queensland Health spokeswoman Dr. Linda Selvey, the eggs were
